The video clip "and this is how it all began" is viewed above all as a record, as testimony. The camera is fixed, there is no human presence behind the camera. The video clip is reduced to the recording. The camera and the object being filmed face each other. The clip invites the superimposition of the recording device and the spectator. The speech has no speaker. A monologue that sometimes takes the form of an internal monologue. The language is emptied of all coherence. The speech's subject becomes the speech itself.

The other video clips in the ANAMORPHOSIS: FROMENDTOBEGINNING exhibition are movements (in a loop) of a fixed image. The permanent repetitive effect is of a movement emptied of meaning.
